The upgrades to the chromatic dragonborn mean that one of them has become the ideal Rogue in Dungeons & Dragons, in terms of being able to deal damage to enemies, and survive common traps that are faced in dungeons. Poison is far deadlier in the current edition of D&D than it is in older editions of the game. The metallic dragonborn might have new builds that can make the use of their new breath weapon, but total immunity provided by Chromatic Warding might be more useful, due to how reliable it is. The average D&D party will spend a lot of its time getting burned by dragon flame, electrified by traps in dungeons, or suffocated by poison gas weapons used by assassins yet the chromatic dragonborn can now laugh in the face of these attacks. This is an incredibly powerful effect on its own, but there are certain character builds that can make the most of Chromatic Warding's immunity. Chromatic Warding provides immunity to the type of damage linked to their draconic ancestry, such as red chromatic Dragonborn becoming immune to fire for one minute. The chromatic dragonborn can use their action to cast Chromatic Warding on themselves and it will last for one minute.
